Motion control

Move the character with a performance you already have

Casting and performance are two different problems. Motion control separates them: bring a clip for the movement, bring your Cast for the identity, and keep both.

Motion Transfer is a tab of the Avatar Studio, on the same Cast and the same wallet

ONE PERFORMANCE, CARRIED SHOT TO SHOT · RENDERED ON VISIONX

Why it matters

The performance you liked was never the problem

Re-prompting for movement is guesswork: you describe a walk and hope. A reference clip is not a description, it is the movement itself, and it repeats exactly.

Blocking you control

Record a rough take on a phone for timing and staging, then let the finished character perform it. The camera plan stops being something you negotiate with a prompt.

Identity from the Cast

The face comes from your brand roster, not from the reference. Swap the character and the movement is unchanged; swap the reference and the character is.

Repeatable across a campaign

The same reference drives the same beat for every market or cutdown, so a gesture that tested well is not re-rolled every time someone regenerates.

How it works

Reference to rendered take, three moves

01

Bring the movement

Upload the clip whose performance you want. A filmed take, an earlier render, or a phone recording made purely for blocking.

02

Cast the character

Pick the Cast member who should perform it. Real people need recorded consent before anything generates.

03

Run it and keep the take

The cost is quoted before the job queues. Output lands in the Assets Library next to the rest of the campaign.

FAQ

Motion control, answered

What is motion control, in one sentence?
You supply a reference clip for the movement and your own character for the identity, and the render keeps the movement while replacing who is performing it.
Where do I find it?
It is the Motion Transfer tab of the Avatar Studio, alongside lip sync. It used to have its own page and that address still works, so old links and bookmarks land on the right tab.
Does the character stay on-model?
Identity comes from your Cast, so the same face-match enforcement that governs every other render applies here too. The performance changes; who is performing does not.
What can I use as the motion reference?
A clip you already have: a filmed take, a previous render, or a rough performance recorded on a phone for blocking. It is a reference for movement, not something that ships.
Can I use a real person as the character?
Only with recorded consent. A licensed persona needs a passing rights check before it will generate at all, the same as anywhere else on the platform.
How is it priced?
Per run, from the same VX wallet as everything else, with the exact cost shown before the job is queued. Nothing is charged for a job that fails.
